2. We are collecting your personal data for the following purpose(s):

By signing up with the MyPetPortal app ("the App"), you understand that we will access your veterinary practice records, on your Veterinary Surgeries practice management system in order to match up our records with theirs and enable you to send messages to each other.

When you visit, register or order products or services on MyPetPortal and the MyPetPortal online shop, you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name, contact details and credit or debit card information.

We may use your information to contact you for your views on our services and to notify you occasionally about important changes or developments to the website or our services. Further, where you have consented, we might also use your information to let you know by email about other products and services which we offer which may be of interest to you. If you change your mind about being contacted in the future, please let us know.

We may also collect information about your usage of the App as well as information about you from messages you post to the App, or website and emails or letters you send to us.

To maintain customer service standards and to assist staff training, we record all electronic conversations held through our Messaging service and may also record and monitor incoming telephone calls.

3. The legal basis for processing your personal data when you sign up with the App is that you consent to our accessing your veterinary practice records.

The legal basis for processing your personal data when you place an order or intend to place an order with us is that it is necessary for the performance of our contract with you, or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

The legal basis for processing your personal data for the other reasons in 2. above, is that it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests in operating our business, and providing the best possible experience for our customers and website visitors. When processing personal data we always consider whether data subjects' interests might override ours, and where we decide that they would, we will not process the data.

4. The recipients or categories of recipients of your personal data are, members of staff of My Pet Portal. Where you have consented to our passing your details, recipients will also include veterinary practices, and may also include carefully selected third parties, including other companies in our group, to contact you occasionally about products and services which may be of interest to you. Such as Vetstoria which enables you to make appointments via MyPetPortal App.

5. We do not propose to transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area.

6. The personal data will be stored for seven years.

7. You have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or to restriction of processing concerning you or to object to our processing of the data as well as the right to data portability

8. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office about the manner in which or otherwise in respect of the manner in which we process your personal data. Their website is at www.ico.org.uk

9. Your provision of personal data to us is not a contractual or legal requirement. However, if you do not supply your personal data to us, we may not be able to provide the App, or fulfil your order, or, if you are making an enquiry, we may not be able to respond to you adequately.
